it rr J J Sec. 4-1.03. Disaster Council: Membership The Town of Los Altos Hills Disaster Council is hereby created and shall consist of the following: (a) The Mayor, who shall be Chairman; (b) The Mayor Pro Tem, who shall be Vice -Chairman; (c) The City Manager, who shall develop emergency preparedness plans and organize the civil preparedness program of the Town and have such other duties as may be assigned by the Chairman. (d) The Sheriff of Santa Clara County and the Fire Chief of the Los Altos Fire District, or designees. (e) The Chief of Police of Los Altos Hills or his designee. (f) Such representatives of civic, business, labor, veterans, military, professional, or other organizations having an official group or organization civil preparedness responsibility as may be appointed by the Disaster Council. Sec. 4-1.04. Disaster Council: Powers and Duties: Meetings. It shall be the duty of the Disaster Council, and it is hereby empowered to review and recommend for adoption by the City Council civil preparedness and mutual aid plans and agreements and such ordinances, resolutions, rules and regulations as are necessary to implement such plans and agreements. The Disaster Council shall meet upon call of the Chairman at least semi-annually, or, in his absence from the Town or inability to call such meeting, upon the call of the Vice -Chairman. Sec. 4-1.05. Director of Emergency Services: Powers and Duties. There is hereby created the office of the Director of Emergency Services. The Mayor shall be the Director of Emergency Services. There is hereby created the office of Assistant Director of Emergency services, who shall be the City Manager. The Director is hereby empowered: -2-
