it rr J J <br />Sec. 4-1.03. Disaster Council: Membership <br />The Town of Los Altos Hills Disaster Council is hereby created and shall <br />consist of the following: <br />(a) The Mayor, who shall be Chairman; <br />(b) The Mayor Pro Tem, who shall be Vice -Chairman; <br />(c) The City Manager, who shall develop emergency preparedness plans and <br />organize the civil preparedness program of the Town and have such other <br />duties as may be assigned by the Chairman. <br />(d) The Sheriff of Santa Clara County and the Fire Chief of the Los Altos <br />Fire District, or designees. <br />(e) The Chief of Police of Los Altos Hills or his designee. <br />(f) Such representatives of civic, business, labor, veterans, military, <br />professional, or other organizations having an official group or <br />organization civil preparedness responsibility as may be appointed by <br />the Disaster Council. <br />Sec. 4-1.04. Disaster Council: Powers and Duties: Meetings. <br />It shall be the duty of the Disaster Council, and it is hereby empowered <br />to review and recommend for adoption by the City Council civil preparedness <br />and mutual aid plans and agreements and such ordinances, resolutions, rules and <br />regulations as are necessary to implement such plans and agreements. The <br />Disaster Council shall meet upon call of the Chairman at least semi-annually, <br />or, in his absence from the Town or inability to call such meeting, upon the <br />call of the Vice -Chairman. <br />Sec. 4-1.05. Director of Emergency Services: Powers and Duties. <br />There is hereby created the office of the Director of Emergency Services. <br />The Mayor shall be the Director of Emergency Services. There is hereby <br />created the office of Assistant Director of Emergency services, who shall be <br />the City Manager. The Director is hereby empowered: <br />-2- <br />
