111 • annex said territory without notice and hearing by the City Council and without election pursuant to Section 54797 . 1 of the Government Code of California; and WHEREAS, it appears to said Council, and said Council hereby finds, that said application is in proper form and that the real property described therein and hereinafter is contiguous to the C ity of the Town of Los Altos Hills, and that less than twelve (12) persons who have been registered to vote within the territory for at least fifty-four (54) days resided within said territory at the time of the filing of the application, and that said territory is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa Clara and within the meaning of the Annexation of Uninhabited .Territory ,Act of 1939 , as amended, and it is for the best interests, convenience, necessity and general welfare of the people of the City of the Town of Los Altos Hills that said territory be annexed to the City of the Town of Los Altos Hills, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The territory designated as the Edgecliff 74-1 Annexation is located in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, is contiguous to the City of the Town of Los Altos Hills, is uninhabited territory within the meaning of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 , as amended, and is described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. The territory designated as Edgecliff 74-1 Annex- ation is hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of the Town of Los Altos Hills. SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to pre- pare a certified copy of this resolution, under seal, giving the date of passage and transmit the same to the Secretary of State of the - 2 -
