�W - 4 vd <br />-3- <br />SECTION 13-14: Exclusion of Utilities - No <br />License fee shall be required of any person operating under <br />any franchise or contract of the City from which a fee <br />payment is made to the City. <br />SECTION 13-15: Non -validating effect. <br />The acceptance of a fee or issuance of a License <br />under this Ordinance shall not be regarded as approval of any <br />business or the conduct thereof contrary to the laws of the <br />State or Ordinance of the City nor in violation of any health <br />or safety measures or provisions or an operation which is <br />deemed a nuisance or contrary to the interests of the <br />health, welfare and safety of any individual or entity. <br />SECTION 13-16: Enforcement. <br />-The License Officer shall be responsible for the <br />enforcement of this Ordinance and shall make all investigations <br />deemed necessary therefor. Any peace officer of the City <br />shall render every assistance required by the License Officer <br />and the City Attorney shall upon request process any measures <br />for enforcement of the Ordinance. <br />SECTION 13-17: Liability. <br />The amount of an unpaid license fee shall constitute <br />a debt due the City. <br />SECTION 13-18: Severability. The City Council <br />of the Town of Los Altos Hills hereby declares that it would <br />have adopted any word, sentence, phrase or section of this <br />Ordinance irrespective of any other word, sentence, phrase or <br />section. If any Court of competent jurisdiction shall declare <br />any portion of this Ordinance void or unconstitutional, it shall <br />not effect any other portion and except as so declared void <br />or unconstitutional, this Ordinance shall remain in full <br />force and effect. <br />SECTION 13-19: Effective Date. This Ordinance <br />shall become effective 31 days after its adoption and shall be <br />posted in 3 public places as designated within the Town of <br />Los Altos Hills. <br />SECTION 13-20: There has been heretofore established <br />in the Town of Los Altos Hills the position of Building <br />Inspector. The Building Inspector of the Town of Los Altos <br />Hills shall be responsible for the enforcement of this <br />ordinance and shall issue all permits as provided. <br />The above and foregoing Ordinance was duly <br />introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of the Town <br />of Los Altos Hills on Monday the Wth day of March, 1957, <br />duly and regularly passed by the following vote: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bledsoe, Fow'e, Hoefler, <br />Mayor Treat. <br />NODS: <br />ABSENT: <br />SIDNEY w.
