All marks, except the cross (+) are forbidden. All distinguishing marks or eaasures are forbidden and make the ballot void. if you wrongly stamp, tear or deface this ballot, return it to the inspector of election and obtain another. On absent voter ballots mark a cross (+) with pen or pencil. A cross (+) placed in the voting square after the word "SES" in the nailner hereinbefore provided shall be counted in favor of the adoption of the question or proposition. A cross (+) placed in the voting square after the word "NO" in the manner hereinbefore provided shall be counted against the adoption of the question or proposition. 8ECTION VII. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and dir- ected to procure supplies necessary for the proper conduct of said election. SECTION VIII. This ordinance shall be posted in three (3) public places within the Town of Los Altos Hills. The Clerk is dir- ected to publish such notice of the election herein provided for as may be required by the laws of the State of California. SECTION I%. This ordinance, being an ordinance calling and ordering an election, shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
