RESOLUTION NO. 2 7-10 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br /> TO AWARD THE CONTRACT FOR THE 2010 PAVEMENT <br /> REHABILITATION AND STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, the annual street resurfacing and storm drain improvements program is <br /> designed to maintain safe and functional Town streets; and <br /> WHEREAS, the selected streets in the improvement list were determined by the <br /> recommendation from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission's Pavement <br /> Management Program and field inspection; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Works Director of the Town of Los Altos Hills shall duly <br /> examine and consider all bids for the construction of 2010 Pavement Rehabilitation and <br /> Storm Drain Improvements Project; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Town of Los <br /> Altos Hills that: <br /> 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the contract to <br /> the lowest responsible bidder in an amount not to exceed $1,400,000 on behalf <br /> of the Town of Los Altos Hills. <br /> 2. The Public Works Director is hearby authorized to approve potential contract <br /> change orders in an amount not to exceed 10% of awarded contract amount. <br /> 3.
