IWO 11011 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 717 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br /> INDICATING THE BUILDING PERMIT SYSTEM <br /> AND THE REVIEW PROCEDURE FOR MUDSLIDE-PRONE AREAS <br /> WHEREAS, the Town of Los Altos Hills is enforcing Ordinance No. 127 <br /> adopting the Uniform Building Code, 1967 Edition, Volume I, with its Appendices, <br /> and Ordinance No. 207, Zoning Requirements, and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 9-5.1202 of Article 12 of Chapter 5 of Title 9 of the <br /> Municipal Code prohibits any person, firm, or corporation from erecting, <br /> constructing, enlarging, altering, repairing, improving, moving or demolishing <br /> any building or structure without first obtaining a separate building permit <br /> for each building or strucutre from the Building Official , and <br /> WHEREAS, the Building Official must examine all plans and specifications <br /> for the proposed construction when application is made to him for a building <br /> permit. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Town of Los <br /> Altos Hills as follows: <br /> 1. That the Building Official shall require the issuance of a permit <br /> for any excavation, grading, fill , or construction in the community; and <br /> 2. That the Building Official shall require review of each permit <br /> application to determine whether the proposed site and improvements will be <br /> reasonably safe from mudslides. If a proposed site--and improvements are in <br /> a location that may have mudslide hazards, a further review must be made by <br /> persons qualified in geology and soils engineering; and the proposed new <br /> construction, substantial improvement, or grading must (i) be adequately protected <br /> against mudslide damage and (ii) not aggravate the existing hazard. <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of the <br /> resolution duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the Town of <br /> Los Altos Hills at a meeting held on the 5th day of September, 1973. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Bruce G.
