2. Pursuant to Sections 10400, 10402, and 10403 of the California Elections Code, it is in <br /> the best interest of the public to consolidate the Los Altos Hills General Municipal <br /> Election with the Statewide General Election to be held on November 8, 2016. The <br /> consolidated election will be held and conducted in accordance with the provisions of law <br /> regulating the statewide election. <br /> NOW THEREFORE,IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED: <br /> 1. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara("Board of Supervisors") is <br /> requested to consolidate the Town of Los Altos Hills General Municipal Election with <br /> the Statewide Election on November 8, 2016, for three(3) Los Altos Hills City Council <br /> seats. <br /> 2. That the Board of Supervisors is requested to make available the services of the Registrar <br /> of Voters of the County of Santa Clara("Registrar of Voters") for the purpose of <br /> providing the usual services necessary in conducting said election, including,but not <br /> limited to, the provision of election supplies,voter pamphlets,ballots, notices,printed <br /> materials and all supplies, equipment and paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to <br /> properly and lawfully conduct the election. <br /> 3. That the Registrar of Voters is authorized to specify the location for the tally of ballots, <br /> canvass the results of the three City Council seats and certify the results to-the City Clerk <br /> of the Town of Los Altos Hills. <br /> 4. That the City Clerk shall file a certified copy of this Resolution with the Santa Clara <br /> County Board of Supervisors and the Registrar of Voters. <br /> 5. That the City Manager is.authorized and directed to compensate Santa Clara County for <br /> the cost of conducting the General Municipal Election for the Town. <br /> 6. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish a Notice of General <br /> Municipal Election within the time and manner specified in Section 12101 of the <br /> California Elections Code. <br /> 7. That in all particulars not recited in this resolution, the election shall be held and <br /> conducted as provided by law for holding municipal elections. <br /> 8. Pursuant to Sections 10228 and 13307 of the California Elections Code, the City Council <br /> approves and adopts the following uniform policies and procedures concerning the <br /> General Municipal Election to be held on November 8, 2016: <br /> a).
