J <br /> NEW-'BUSINESS: <br /> 1.- --Schwab, Laurence - Request to Move House into the Town. <br /> The Clerk presented pictures and the floor plan of the house to be <br /> moved to occupy Lot 2, Broadmoor Estates on La Rena Drive. , <br /> Comments in opposition to having the house moved into the neighborhood, <br /> were heard from Mr. and Mrs. Robert Riley, Mrs. Helen Ashby, Mr. L. <br /> Wilson, Mr. Clark Shur, Mrs. Sam Jackson, and Mrs. Irma Goldsmith. <br /> It was their opinion that a "moved in" house will depreciate the value <br /> of the properties. <br /> Commissioner Alter, representing the Planning Commission, commented <br /> that the majority of the Commissioners were not in favor of having <br /> buildings moved into the Town, but were of the opinion that there are <br /> no provisions in the Town' s ordinances to allow them to refuse the re- <br /> quest. <br /> Mr. Schwab commented that the property will be completely landscaped; <br /> that patios and driveway will be constructed. He also commented on <br /> the time schedule for moving the house. <br /> Councilmen were of the opinion ,that the Town ' s ordinances should be <br /> amended, but that at this time, they could only approve the request , <br /> on the basis of the existing law. <br /> ACTION: <br /> That the matter be tabled until the meeting of June 3, 1963. <br /> MOTION: Fowle; SECOND: Bowler; <br /> VOTE: AYES: Aiken; Bowler, Fowle <br /> NOES: Henley, Mayor Clayton <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ACTION: <br /> That the request of Mr. Laurence Schwab be granted. <br /> MOTION: Fowle; SECOND: Henley; <br /> AMENDMENT: <br /> That , as a condition of approval, Mr. Schwab present a compre- <br /> hensive landscape plan to be approved by the Planning Commission. <br /> AMENDED BY: Aiken; <br /> AMENDED MOTION: <br /> That the request of Mr. Laurence Schwab be granted, provided he <br /> presents a comprehensive landscape plan to the Planning Commis- <br /> 1 1 sion and receives the Commission ' s approval. <br /> MOTION: Fowle; SECOND: Henley; <br /> Mr. Schwab questionedwhether or not the approval of the landscape plan <br />
