BUSINESS: <br /> 1. Masonic Ledge - Proposed for Royal Hodge Property at 28410 Prospect Rd. , <br /> Los Altos. <br /> Mrs. Alma E. Wood, of 12125 Stonebrook Drive , commented in opposition <br /> to the proposed use of the property. <br /> ACTIONi. .. . <br /> That the Council go on record as asking the County Planning .Commis- <br /> sion to postpone this matter until proper notice can be given to <br /> the residents in the area and the Town can express its feelings a- <br /> gainst granting this request. <br /> MOTION: Aiken, No Second. <br /> ACTION:. <br /> That the Council go on record as opposing the proposed use along <br /> the Town boundaries, and that a letter be drafted and forwarded to <br /> the Santa Clara County Planning Commission on these grounds. <br /> MOTION: Henley; SECOND: Aiken; <br /> AMENDMENT: <br /> That if therequest is not denied, that no action betaken. <br /> AMENDED BY: Henley; SECOND: Aiken; VOTE: Passed unanimously <br /> ACTION: <br /> That the letter be presented to the County .Planning Commission by .. <br /> Nestor Barrett, the Town's Planning Consultant. <br /> MOTION: Fowle; '. SECOND: Aiken; VOTE: Passed unanimously <br /> VARIANCES <br /> 1. :Schwab, :Laurence;:(V-150-63) - Reduction in Setback Requirement for Resi- <br /> dence. <br /> ACTION: <br /> That the request for variance be denied and that the applicant be <br /> informed that the moving permit, granted by this Council, was <br /> issued on the assurance, by the applicant, that the house was <br /> chosen as being particularly suitable for the neighborhood and <br /> would fit on l',the cleared pad already in existence without over- <br /> hanging and unsightliness. further that the plan for reducing the <br /> width of the house and modifying it to make it suitable for tho <br /> neighborhood meet the full approval of the Planning Commission, <br /> f 1 .` <br /> and that failing that, the City Attorney be authorized to take ::the <br /> necessary legal steps to have. the house removed as a nuisance, ' <br /> and that the City Council rescind its permit. <br /> MOTION: Fowle; SECOND`.
