Charles Coburn. <br /> ACTION: <br /> That the Final Map of Tract No. 3487 be approved. <br /> NOTION: Aiken; SECOND : Bowler; VOTE: Passed unanimously. <br /> ORDINANCES: <br /> 1. Ordinance No. 95 - Amending Sign Ordinance No. 42 - Second. Reading. <br /> Mayor Clayton, with the consent of the Council, directed that the <br /> second reading of Ordinance No. 95 be deferred to the next Regular <br /> Meeting on November 18, 1963. There were no objections. <br /> 2. Ordinance No. 88 - Committee Report . on Amendment of Ordinance No . 88. <br /> A Committee Report of the Subdivision Committee (Chairman Aiken and . <br /> Councilman Fowle) concluded there is little possibility of getting <br /> all poles underground , but a good chance of eventually getting <br /> short, streamline poles with the service wires going down inside <br /> them. There is no point in this , however, if the services are <br /> overhead. <br /> The overall effect of the streamline poles will largely be lost <br /> with overhead service . <br /> ACTION: <br /> That Ordinance No. 88 will remain in force as adopted . <br /> NOTION: Aiken; SECOND : Fowle <br /> Councilman Bowler inquired of the Subdivision Committee if they <br /> had examined the possibility of relief in the way of a variance <br /> in hardship cases . Chairman Aiken stated they had and would <br /> favorably welcome a procedure for such a variance . <br /> Discussion followed as to a criterion for variances. <br /> -3- <br />
