411 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 596 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF <br /> LOS ALTOS HILLS OPPOSING HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL <br /> DEVELOPMENT OF THE COYOTE HILL AREA ON STANFORD LAND <br /> WHEREAS, We consider the Coyote 11.111 Area to be within the immediate <br /> environmental sphere of Los Altos Hills; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Town of Los Altos Hills can not suffer additional traffic <br /> upon its roads without deleterious effect upon the health, welfare and safety <br /> of its citizens, and without consequent diversion of gas tax revenue use, and <br /> without diminishment of its land values; and <br /> WHEREAS, A high density residential development as referred to on Page 9,. <br /> Item 31 of the Campus Report Supplement, No. 10, dated April 6, 1970, between <br /> Deer Gulch Creek and Page Mill Road on Stanford land, coupled with the LM-5 <br /> construction presently underway on adjoining land, would impose additional <br /> traffic burden on roads in Los Altos Hills; therefore be it <br /> RESOLVED, That the Town of Los Altos Hills opposes development in the <br /> Coyote Hill Area of dwelling units in a manner incompatible with the rural <br /> land-use concepts of adjoining lands of Los Altos Hills and does hereby declare <br /> that the pursuit of such development, approval of the community of Palo Alto <br /> notwithstanding, would constitute an affront to this community and a breach <br /> of Stanford Board of Trustees guidelines of 1954 stating that "material gain <br /> is not necessarily the governing factor (applying to the subdivision of lands)" <br /> and (that) the natural beauty of the area and other aesthetic qualities be <br /> respected. <br /> * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of <br /> a resolution duly passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of <br /> Los Altos Hills, California, at a meeting thereof held on the 4th day of <br /> May, 1970, by the following roll call vote: <br /> AYES: Councilman Aiken, Davey, Grabowski, Helgesson, Mayor Benson <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ATTEST: <br /> ;, <br /> City Clerk <br /> Town of Los Altos Hills -. <br /> APPRO VP: <br /> <br /> <br /> May � AltosHills <br />
