• • <br /> RESOLUTION No. 1—07 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council reaffirms it support for Council Resolution 42-06 <br /> calling for a new Los Altos Hills K-8 elementary school district; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the guidance by members of the <br /> SCCOE Committee on School District Organization at its meeting of December 7th, <br /> 2006, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the Town <br /> of Los Altos Hills supports re-entering formal talks with school districts affected by <br /> Resolution 42-06 to further determine whether any solutions exist short of district <br /> reorganization to remedy the structural problems that exist regarding public education in <br /> Los Altos Hills; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council endorses the use of a <br /> neutral facilitator to help the parties find common ground; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council urges the elected boards <br /> of LASD, PAUSD, and MVLA to support a process of formal talks to identify any <br /> mutually agreeable alternatives to redistricting. <br /> REGULARLY PASSED AND ADOPTthi a day of Januar _007. <br /> BY: <br /> Dean Wars.:wsky, Mayor <br /> ATTE <br /> City Clerk <br />
