<br /> The petition requested the re-zoning of the 37+ acres abutting
<br /> Arastradero Road and H. Fremont Ave. , excluding the Congregation
<br /> Beth 'mm property, for commercial development and multiple dwell-
<br /> ings.
<br /> The Clerk read a petition opposing any change in Zoning, said
<br /> petition containing 103 signatures. Letters, opposing any change
<br /> in the present zoning of the Town, were received from Mr. Paul M,
<br /> Borg, Mr. Gordon E. Bowler, and. the Los Altos Hills 4ssociation.
<br /> The Mayor opened the discussion by asking for comments from the
<br /> Floor.
<br /> Comments , opposing any change in zoning, were heard from Mr. and
<br /> Mrs. L. Helgesson, Mr. and Mrs. Paul. M. Boag, and Mr. G. .Harvey-
<br /> Mr. S. W. Treat ouestioned whether the Congregation Beth Am prop-
<br /> erty is included in the proposal. The Clerk answered that it is
<br /> shown on the map, but is not included in the application for re-
<br /> zoning.
<br /> The following perms stated their reasons for requesting re-zoning
<br /> of their properties : Mrs . Mattie Travis Paulin, Mr. Wm. Paulin,
<br /> Mrs. Gladys Jhitcomb, Mr. Leo G. flandoli , and. Mr. Gustav Christen-
<br /> sen.
<br /> Councilmen commented and concurred that the following action
<br /> should be taken:

<br /> That the application for amendment of the Zoning Ordinance ,
<br /> to allow a commercial development and multiple dwellings
<br /> on the properties of Paulin, C, Christensen, R. Ghristenser
<br /> G. Christensen, Mandoli , Hunter, and Hhitcomb, be tabled.

<br /> Nor Report was represented by Mr. Jack Lbrahamson, Chairman. In the
<br /> report , the Commission requested that the City Council of Los
<br /> :'_ltos Hills endorse a tax of 14 cent per °100 per assessed valu-
<br /> ation, library budget appropriation for 1960-61.
