Resolution No. 93 - Expressing Opposition to Assembly Bill 2242. <br /> Resolution No. 93 was presented by Councilman Henley. <br /> The Bill (2242) , if enacted, would end by dissolution the corpor- <br /> ate existence of a functioning local agency or government. <br /> Councilman Henley st3ted that opposition to the bill, was more a <br /> matter of principle of the method used in the disolution of any <br /> public agency as proposed by AB 2242. <br /> ACTION: <br /> That Resolution ;S`-93 , expressing opposition to Assembly Lill <br /> 2?42, be adopted. <br /> MOTION: Sherlock; SECOND: Clayton; <br /> ROLL C?LL: AYES: Clayton, Sherlock, t.ayor7owle <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSTAINED: Henley <br /> ABSENT: Bledsoe <br /> NEW BUSINESS: Continued. <br /> 2. General Plan - The Mayor announced that the second Public Hearing <br /> will be held by the Planning Commission Thursday, May 21, 1959 <br /> at 8 P. M. at the Town Hall. <br /> 2. Freeway - Councilman Clayton stated that a meeting will be held <br /> with the Division of highways before the next Council Meeting, and <br /> that the Division of Highways has requested the Town to pass a <br /> resolution relative to crossings at O'Keefe and Josefa and for the <br /> New Road proposed through Tremont Hills Unit `5. <br /> Councilman 'Sherlock suggested that the Coun.:il be thinking about <br /> whether or not to reouest a center strip for the Freeway. <br /> 3. State Legislation - The City Attorney suggested that the Council <br /> consider adoption of a resolution, relative to senate Bill 1196 <br /> which is regarding ratification of franchises of public utilities. <br /> Councilman Henley was asked to study this Bill. <br /> 4.
