Analysis of De Leuw-Cather Report. <br /> Letter, dated May 20, 1959 from ?Carl J. Belser, Director of Plan- <br /> ning, Santa Clara County, was read relative to the Board of Super- <br /> visors ' adoption of the proposed trafficways plan for the County <br /> and declaring a 90 day moratorium on land development in proposed <br /> right of ways. <br /> The Mayor stated that a Committee consisting of one Councilman, <br /> one Planning Commissioner, and the Planning Consultant will con- <br /> fer with Mr. Belser. <br /> 2. Freeway. <br /> The question of whether or not the Town should submit a resolution <br /> to the Highway Commission stating its wishes relative to the Free- <br /> way was discussed. <br /> Councilman Clayton stated that a meeting will be called within the <br /> next week in which many problems will be taken care of. <br /> 3. Public Hearing -• Zoning Ordinance. <br /> The Mayor glared the Public Hearing in session, and asked for <br /> comments from the Floor. <br /> Mr. William Powell commented relative to Section Ix, 9:10 which <br /> concerns setbacks, stating that he honed the Town would keep an <br /> open mind when considering variance applications in the future; <br /> that due to the terrcin of the land, the Town could expect to have <br /> .them. more frequently. <br /> 6-4-59 <br />
