N. at the Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Too ^_ltos Hills, <br />California. <br />ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Commissioners .liter, Garbett, IIawley, Mellquist., <br />Prentice, Chairman Bowler <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Hibner <br />YINUTES: January 3, 1962. <br />Corrections: Page 2: USE PERMITS: Item No. 1, January 11, 1.963. <br />Psge 1: Corrections: Should be amended so that <br />the fourth raragraph from the bottom reads: <br />"Chairman Bowler stated that changes under con- <br />sideration for the Master Plan do not provide for <br />increasing the amount of land for public use." <br />ACTION: <br />Adont 1'inutes of January 3, 1963 as amended and corrected. <br />MOTION: Alter: SECOND: Hawley; VOTE: Passel unanimously <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Request o£ Vanderveer Voorhees - Mr. Voorhees 1_tter reque:,tcd an in- <br />dication Prom the Planning Commission as to whether it won]d consider <br />a variance to the reouirement for a 40 foot right-of-way so that he <br />could use the 30 foot wide strip which he owns, and which was estab- <br />lished prior to the formation of the Town. .T'[r. Voorhees stated th-.t <br />he plans to undertake a subdivision that would put ^bout 13 homes on <br />his 20 acres, but that with a variance on the roadway, he would be <br />land] oohed. <br />The Commission informed Fr. Voorhees that he should submit a mer show- <br />ing proposed roads and entrances. It will be necessary to provide a <br />safe access onto E1 Monte, providing for both St. I+iicholas School, <br />which adjoins, and which has its road immediately adjacent to Mr. <br />Voorhees' access strip. The Commission will not favor any propos.-^.1 <br />that shows two (2) entrances side-by-side onto El Monte, especially <br />because of the proximity to the freeway on-ramp. The Commission stated <br />that development of the land would not be held up because of the 30 <br />foot right-of-way technicality, provided suitable access could be work - <br />c", out. <br />2.
