Los Altos County Fire Protection District - Deferred from Communi- <br />cations. <br />The proposed annexation to the City of Palo Alto designated as <br />Foothills Annexation #2 is in the northeast corner of Los Altos Hills <br />The Mayor stated that he would go on record as supporting the Fire <br />District's objection, in that the City of Palo Alto should not an- <br />nex this property. He suggested that the City Attorney be instruct- <br />ed to draft a letter to the City Council of Palo Alto, stating the <br />Town's objections. <br />ACTION: <br />That the Council instruct the City Attorney to draft a letter, <br />for the Mayor's signature, expressing concurrence with Chief <br />Bassett's letter, and stating that it is the ain of the Coun- <br />cil to improve the alignment of the Los 4ltos Hills boundar- <br />ies, and the annexation of ttis property makes it virtually <br />impossible. <br />MOTION: Sherlock; SECOi`TD: Treat; VOTE: Passed unanimously <br />3. Arthur Wright - Extension of time for Subdivision r°ap. <br />Deferred from Communications. <br />ACTION: <br />That the Council grant an extension of one year for the sub- <br />mittal of the final map of Sumner Gardens (93-57) 8 lots. <br />MOTION: Sherlock; SECOND: Treat; VOTE: Passed unanimously <br />4. Road Budget and Planning Committee - Report on Road Improvements. <br />The report submitted by the Committee was read by Councilman <br />Clayton. <br />The Mayor urged that the Committee be kept in existence and request- <br />ed that a report be submitted at the end of the next six *months. <br />ACTION: <br />That the report of the Road Budget and Planning Committee be <br />accepted with thanks for its good work and that the Committee <br />remain in existence, and submit another report on or about <br />March 15b, 1958• <br />MOTION: Treat; SECOND: Sherlock; VOTE: Passed unanimously <br />
