Fowle Monday, October 20tb, 1958 at <br />7:45 L. M. at the Town Hall, 26379 14est Fremont :venue, Los Altos Hills. <br />ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Councilmen Clayton, Sherlock, Mayor Fowle <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Bledsoe, Treat <br />MINUTES: October 6%, 1958. <br />Corrections: rage 1, Item#2 of Old Pusiness:._Change <br />'Progress Court' to Progress Report'. <br />Relative to letter regarding maintenance of La Loma Drive <br />and La Ioma Court, it was erroneously stated that a letter <br />had been sent to the County Board of Supervisors. <br />Page 4, New Business: Howe, R. C.: The City Clerk stated <br />that the 'Final' map was recorded after aprroval was give <br />the tentative man. <br />Page 5, :!resolution Line 2: Insert the word 'be' be- <br />tween the words 'to and paid'. <br />ACTION: <br />»dopt minutes of 6ctober 6th, 1958 as corrected. <br />COMr,UNI CATI ONS : <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />1. Fremont Hills School Site - Review of .'action on Sewer Installation. <br />The Payor explained that the previous action taken by the Council <br />at the meeting of October 6t -n, 10,58 disapr.reving the installation <br />of 10" sewer line by the Palo .11to Unified ;school District repre- <br />sented indecision rather than absolute disapproval. <br />Mr. Irvin Fallis, Director of Sanitation of the County of Santa <br />Clara Health nepartment, was asked, by the Mayor, for comments re- <br />garding the installation of the sewer line. <br />Mr. Fallis cited the need for sanitary sewers to serve the proposed <br />Fremont Hills School site, the future need for existing develop- <br />ments in the area, and the increased number of rroposed school <br />sites for Los "altos Hills. He further stated that septic tanks <br />are a poor substitute for sewage disposal, and requested that the <br />City Council unanimously approve the proposed 10" sanitary line <br />which will be adequate to serve the school with approximately <br />eight hundred (800) additional connections. <br />The Mayor requested the Council to reconsider the question of ap- <br />proval of the installation of the 10" line. It was pointed out <br />that Councilmen Treat and Iledsoe had previously voted in the <br />affirmative. <br />10-23-58 <br />
