2, <br />3. <br />i3-% <br />NOES: None <br />ABBE'?T: Bledsoe <br />Traffic - Fremont, Edith, and Altos Avenues. <br />Mayor Treat reported on a conversation with Colonel Goate regarding <br />the traffic problem at Burke and Altos Avenues. <br />Colonel Goats suggested that the stop sign on Altos Avenue be changed <br />to the eastbound lane on Burke Avenue. <br />There was considerable discussion on this intersection as well as <br />the Robleda, Edith, and West Fremont intersections, comments being <br />heard from Mr. James B. Zischke, Mr. John Daly, Mr. George Evans, <br />the City Clerk, and members of the Council. <br />It was agreed that the City Clerk be authorized to have the Califf <br />forma State Automobile Association make a survey of the traffic <br />problem in this area, giving them specific instructions that the <br />Town is interested only in: gaining .information as .how to relieve <br />the situation for people of the Town, and not a way to run more <br />traffic through the Town. <br />Warrants - Bills in the amount <br />Pent. <br />ACTION: <br />of $2,489.61 were presented for <br />That the bills be approved for payment, and that the City Clerk <br />be authorized to draw the appropriate warrants for payment. <br />MOTION: Rothwell; SECOND: Hoefler <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Fowle, Hoefler, Mayor Treat <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Bledsoe <br />4. Roads - Mr. Martin Taaffe was commended for work done on the roads, <br />and-Ehe good condition of the roads in spite of the extensive storm <br />damage. <br />5. Adobe CreekLoy�d __e - Councilman Hoefler presented a brochure of the <br />�Creek `k' Zodge announcing its opening date, the opening of a <br />motel, and giving prices for aeeonmodations. <br />It was stated that the owners of the Lodge have no use permit for <br />such an operation. <br />The City Attorney was asked for a statement regarding this situ- <br />ation. He stated that he did not wish to make a statement at this <br />time. <br />4-9-58 <br />
