- 2 - <br />A letter was received from Louis F. Wilson, 25102 O'Keefe <br />%F Lane, directing a complaint to the Council regarding a <br />tractor repair shop and storage of tractors which are used <br />for outside work. It was moved by Councilman Fowle and <br />seconded by Councilman Rothwell that the Mayor be empowered <br />to ask the Sheriff's Office to investigate and report back <br />at the next meeting. <br />A letter from the California State Automobile Association <br />was read by the City Clerk advising that lead limit and <br />speed limit could not be shown on the same sign and if a <br />25 m/h limit was established it would have to apply to all <br />vehicles using that road. <br />Councilman Rothwell reported on the changing of the name <br />of Los Altos Hills and advised everyone to read the recently <br />established bulletin and asked for votes naming their <br />choice of names. <br />Mayor Treat commented on the excellent results in getting <br />out the first bulletin and gave credit to Mr. Koehn, Mrs. <br />Sugden and Mr. Pfeiffer who donated the printing. <br />Mayor Treat appointed Mr. Ernest Brittan a member of the <br />Road Commission. <br />r A letter from the Department of Agriculture on Fire hazard <br />was read by the City Clerk who was asked to investigate <br />and advise them accordingly. <br />Councilman Bledsoe reported the leak in the water pipe <br />causing a hole in the road at Robleda and Chappin had been <br />repaired. � ,o✓'N�pc� <br />oH <br />The first payment amounting to $4,839.30 was presented for BILL <br />payment. It was moved by Mayor Treat and seconded by <br />Councilman Rothwell that a check be drawn for that amount <br />in favor of Holger Spohr, the contractor. 0a-,"zef -Ax j <br />Mayor Treat announced the donation of $1,000 by Mrs. Ina ACBNOWLEDG& <br />S. Dawson and $29000 by Mr. C.E. Dawson to the Town Hall MENT OF GIFT <br />Building Fund. <br />The City Council authorized Attorney Bullis to check with <br />the County in regard to the trade of property originally <br />donated by Mr. A.E. Fowle to the Los Altos Fire District. -a <br />The Fremont Development Company offered to donate f <br />acre to the Los Altos Fire District, the original donation <br />of one-half acre to be used as parking space for the Town <br />of Los Altos Hills and Fire District. <br />Councilman Rothwell reported on amendments to Ordinance REPORT ON <br />No. 17 and advised that he was conferring with the Road AMENDMENTS TO <br />Commission and may have a report at the next meeting.
