-2 - <br />Advisory committee. After a discussion of the composition <br />and the functions of the proposed advisory committee, a <br />resolution was proposed by Councilman Rothwell to establish <br />a committee of 15 members - four sub -committees of three <br />members each to deal with roads, finance, legal problems <br />and police problems plus three members at large - the <br />general committee to select its own chairman. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Dungan and approved, Bledsoe, <br />Dungan, Rothwell and Treat voting aye, Fowle absent. <br />Consideration of the uniform building code was deferred <br />until the second meeting of the Council on Saturday, February <br />4at9:30a.m. <br />The Mayor reported that he had received a letter from <br />the Los Altos -Mountain View Insurance Agents Association <br />(a chapter of the national association) inviting the city to <br />consult with the Association on the matter of insurance. The <br />matter was referred to Councilman Bledsoe for consideration. <br />The Mayor reported the receipt of a letter dated January <br />13 from the Water Control Committee Northwest Zone <br />Santa Clara County, inviting the City of Los Altos Hills <br />to be represented at a forthcoming meeting. Any action <br />on thi s letter was deferred until the second meeting on <br />Saturday, February 4.. <br />0L01DA1641Pg) <br />A resolution was passed to express the Council's thanks <br />to Mrs. A. F. Duval for the use of the Purissima School. <br />At the suggestion of Council members the Mayor asked <br />whether members of the press present would relay the desire <br />of the Council for suggestions concerning members of the <br />planning commission and the prospective advisory committee. <br />Mr. V. E. Giusti, a citizen, asked how many parcels of <br />his property it would be possible for him to sell within a <br />year without creating a sub -division. He was told that under <br />ordinance No. 1 passed by the Council at its initial session <br />on Saturday, January 28, the county regulations on this point <br />were continued in effect. <br />
