MOTION MADE AND CARRIED: Moved by Council Member Radford, seconded by <br />Council Member Summit to approve the request from Hidden Villa for $10,000 to <br />Support 2012 Community Events. <br />DIRECTION: Council directed Hidden Villa to return in July in order to be placed on <br />the regular community services grant schedule. <br />B. Discussion on the Formation of an Ad Hoc Committee to Review Purissima Hills <br />Water District (Council Member Summit) <br />Council Member Summit introduced the discussion of forming an ad hoc committee to <br />review Purissima Hills Water District to fully address the residents' concerns. <br />John Harpootlian, Los Altos Hills, stated that he liked the direction of the discussion <br />and found it to be productive. <br />Ernest Solomon, Director of Purissima Hills Water District, Los Altos Hills, <br />explained the difference between Purissima Hills Water District and Cal Water. <br />Brian Holtz, President of the Purissima Water District, Los Altos Hills, echoed that <br />an information exchange is positive. <br />Gary Kremen, Director of Purissima Hills Water District, Los Altos Hills, stated that <br />he is personally supportive of an ad hoc committee. <br />DIRECTION: Council Member Radford and Vice Mayor Waldeck to meet to discuss <br />what the goals and structure of the water ad hoc committee would be and return to the <br />City Council in June to share the findings. <br />C. Discussion on Merits of Term Limits for the Planning Commission (Council <br />Member Mordo) <br />Council Member Mordo presented the discussion of term limits for the Planning <br />Commission. <br />John Harpootlian, Los Altos Hills, stated that when he was first appointed to the <br />Planning Commission, the incumbent was not reappointed. Further he expressed that the <br />Council does have the ability not to reappoint an incumbent. <br />Eric Clow, Los Altos Hills, stated that when he was last reappointed to the Planning <br />Commission, it was a unanimous decision by the City Council. <br />Eric Ramberg, Los Altos Hills, stated that the fundamental problem is not <br />commissioners serving too many terms — the problem is attracting qualified applicants. <br />7 <br />City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />May 17, 2012 <br />
