PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR Persons wishina to address the Council <br />on any subject not on the agenda may do so now. Please complete a Speaker Card <br />located on the back table of the Council Chambers and submit it to the City Clerk <br />Comments are limited to two (2) minutes per speaker. California law prohibits the <br />Council from acting on items that do not appear on the agenda Under a Resolution <br />reviously adopted by the Council. such items can be referred to staff for <br />appropriate action, which may include placement on the next available agenda <br />Linda Swan, Los Altos Hills, inquired about the farm equipment in the shed. She stated <br />that the equipment was donated to the Town with the proviso that there would be a shed to <br />house it in. <br />City Manager Carl Cahill stated that the staff will research what the Town agreed to in <br />1985. <br />Councilmember Corrigan introduced former Mayor Pat Hayes from Waterford City, <br />Ireland. <br />Mayor Hayes, Waterford City, Ireland introduced himself to the Council and stated <br />that, "local government in my opinion, is the bedrock of democracy." <br />5. REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES SUB -COMMITTEES AND COUNCIL <br />MEMBERS ON OUTSIDE AGENCIES <br />A. Report from the Community Relations Committee on the Public Art Policy <br />Mayor Waldeck presented the revised policy for approval stating that the updates <br />include deleting any reference to the word "lease" and the second was to remove the <br />501(c)(3) designation. <br />Barbara Waldeck, Chair of the Los Altos Community Relations Committee, <br />presented the revised policy. <br />Council discussion ensued. The Council agreed to create an Art in Public Places <br />Standing Committee to meet as needed and directly report to the Council. The <br />policy was revised to have Section III read that the art in public places committee <br />shall be set by City Council. <br />MOTION MADE AND SECONDED: Councilmember Corri an moved to <br />approve the Art In Public Policy as amended to reflect the wording change in <br />City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />June 20, 2013 <br />
