DIRECTION: The City Council directed the Finance and Investment Committee to <br />provide a recommendation on how to proceed with managing the Westwind Barn. A <br />Taskforce to review the matter was formed with the following members: Allan <br />Epstein, Valerie Metcalf, Ed Medlin, Nancy Couperus, Kjell Karlsson, Vice <br />Mayor Radford and Mayor Waldeck. The Taskforce will return to the Council at <br />the April 18th meeting to provide an update on the status. <br />• Sewer rate study <br />• Quarterly financial statements <br />• Proposed GASB changes — pension and benefit liabilities <br />• Building and planning fees and alignment with costs <br />• Insurance review <br />• Reserve monitoring — pensions, OPEB and RIF <br />• Employee retirement cost sharing <br />• Street maintenance budgeting <br />• Public safety contract renewal <br />• City Attorney contract review <br />On the remaining items, the City Council provided direction to the Finance and <br />Investment Committee to proceed with further review of the topics as presented. No <br />further action was taken. <br />2.
