Steve Bowling, Los Altos Hills, requested a pattern as to the days of the week or <br />kor time of day that the burglaries normally occur in order to be more sensitive at that <br />time. <br />Martha Bowden, Los Altos Hills, said her neighborhood comprises of three streets <br />and they had three break-ins in the last seven weeks. For ten years, there has been <br />an unoccupied home because it is going through a remodel, she suggested that for <br />any unoccupied long term projects there should be a requirement for security <br />cameras. <br />Joe, a resident of Los Altos Hills, explained how he was a victim in a recent <br />attack. <br />Gary Sawka, Los Altos Hills, said that people need to be more aware because <br />neighborhoods change and cameras may be a good idea. <br />A resident of Los Altos Hills requested that residents organize so that they can <br />share photos and information. <br />Rajiv Bhateja, Los Altos Hills, suggested the Town consider adopting Twitter <br />handles so information can be quickly disseminated. <br />Kay Lloyd, Los Altos Hills, asked that individuals send suspicious photos to the <br />sheriffs office immediately. <br />Ms. Young, Los Altos Hills, suggested a Facebook group page to post pictures. <br />Heather Rose, Los Altos Hills, agreed with stepping up enforcement, but <br />cautioned to be careful about privacy and civil rights. <br />Mayor Radford thanked all the residents and reiterated the assistance measures <br />available. <br />B. Appointment of an Associate Member to the Environmental Design and Protection <br />Committee <br />City Clerk Deborah Padovan presented the staff report. <br />Neela Shukla, Sunnyvale, introduced herself to the Council and expressed why she <br />wanted to continue to serve on the Environmental Design and Protection Committee <br />as an associate member. <br />Council discussion ensued. <br />MOTION MADE AND SECONDED: Councilmember Waldeck moved to <br />appoint Neela Shukla as an associate member to the Environmental Design and <br />2 <br />City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />August 21, 2014 <br />
