• RESOLUTION NO. 540 A RESOLUTION .OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF CONCEPCION ROAD AND..A PORTION OF ALTAMONT ROAD. RESOLVED by the (City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills, California, that those certain plans and specifications prepared by the office of Charles S. McCandless & Company and titled "Plans and Specifications for Reconstruction of Concepcion Road and a Portion of Altamont Road, Town of Los Altos Hills, California" dated August 18 , 1969, be and the same are hereby approvedas the plans and specifications for said work of construction, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that City Clerk of said Town is hereby directed to post in three public places in said Town, there being no newspaper published in said Town, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the construction of said improvements, and referring to the plans and specifications on file in the office of said City Clerk, said posting to be at least ten (10) days prior to the time fixed for opening bids . All bidsor proposals shall beaccompanied by a cashier's or certified check payable. to the order: of the Town amountingto ten per cent '(10%) of the bid, or by a bond in, said amount and payable, to said Town, signed by the bidder and a corporate surety, or by the bidder and two sureties who shall justify before any officer competent to administer an oath, in double said amount and over and above all statutory exemptions . Said check.. shall be forfeited or said bond shall become payable to said Town in case the bidder depositing the same does not, within fifteen (15) days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him, enter into a contract with the Town.
