Allan Epstein, Los Altos Hills, said that the intent of the survey was not clear. <br />Dru Anderson, Los Altos Hills, said a scientific survey is an excellent idea. <br />MOTION MADE AND SECONDED: Mayor Corrigan moved to adopt <br />Resolution 56-15 authorizing the City Manager to enter into a professional services <br />agreement with Godbe Research in an amount not to exceed $30,000 for a <br />community survey. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Request from Los Altos School District Regarding Student Safety Issues on the <br />Street or Streets Near the Entrance to Gardner Bullis School <br />City Manager Cahill presented the item. <br />Vladimir Ivanovic, Los Altos School District Board Member, stated that the <br />crosswalk is a long standing issue that still needs to be solved. He asked that the <br />Council take action based on the results of the current study. <br />Council discussion ensued. <br />Heather Rose, Los Altos Hills, said that we need a controlled stop. <br />Divya Valmiki, Los Altos Hills, has three children at Gardner Bullis School and <br />described how she almost hit a child. <br />MOTION MADE AND SECONDED: Mayor Corrigan moved to request that <br />staff take immediate and appropriate action when they receive the traffic and <br />engineer's report rather than waiting to bring it back to the Los Altos Hills City <br />Council; if the recommendation is to remove the crosswalk, it may be removed <br />immediately.
