6. REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES, SUB -COMMITTEES, AND <br />COUNCILMEMBERS ON OUTSIDE AGENCIES <br />A. Report from the VTA Policy Advisory Committee/North Cities Group (Mayor Pro <br />Tem Harpootlian) <br />Mayor Pro Tem Harpootlian reported on the VTA opening due to <br />Councilmember Larsen's resignation and emphasized the importance of appointing <br />a representative for the north county cities. <br />It was requested that the conversation be tabled until November 2016 and that the <br />City Clerk return the item to the agenda at that time. <br />Councilmember Waldeck reported on the activities at the last Los Altos Hills <br />County Fire District meeting. <br />At this point, the Council returned to Agenda Item No. 4 Public Hearings. <br />4. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />A. Introduction (First Reading) of an Ordinance Amending Title 8 (Building <br />Regulations) of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code by Adding Chapter 9, "Small <br />Residential Rooftop Solar Expedited Permitting," to Comply with the Recently <br />Enacted State Law Regarding Rooftop Solar System Installations; File #252-15- <br />Misc; CEOA Review: Categorical Exemption Per Section 15061(13)(3) (Staff: S. <br />Avila <br />Mayor Corrigan opened the Public Hearing. <br />There were no ex parte communications. <br />Consultant Planner Steve Padovan presented the staff report. <br />Council discussion ensued. <br />Peter Evans, Los Altos Hills, suggested that the Council consider whether or not <br />the fee was too high. <br />Mayor Corrigan closed the Public Hearing. <br />MOTION MADE AND SECONDED: Mayor Pro Tem Harpootlian moved to <br />waive reading and introduce the ordinance adding Chapter 9 - Small Residential <br />Rooftop Solar Expedited Permitting - to Title VIII of the Los Altos Hills Municipal <br />Code.
