r , • • Town Hall in said Town of Los Altos Hills, said bids will be opened and said franchise struck off, sold and awarded by this Council to the person, firm or corporation who shall make the highest cash bid therefor, in the manner provided by the authorities set out above; IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the successful bidder for said franchise shall, within a reasonable time from the date of awarding the same, file with this Council a bond running to said Town of Los Altos Hills, conditioned acceding to the provisions of the laws of the State of California and the Public Utilities Code, with such surety or sureties as are required by law, to be approved by: this Council, in the penal sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) , and that upon the filing of said bond and its approval by this Council the said franchise shall by this Council be granted, by ordinance, to the person, firm or corporation to whom it has been struck off, sold and awarded. IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AND DIRECTED that there be pub- lished in the Los Altos News, awekly newspaper of general circulation, of said Town of Los Altos Hills, once a week for four (4) successive weeks, commencing on the 21st day of December, 1967, a notice that said application has been filed, together with our intention that the said franchise be granted to the highest bidder therefor and that this Council will hear protests against the granting of said franchise and will hold a public hearing on said application at the regular meeting room of this Council in the Town Hall of the Town of Los Altos Hills on the 5th day of February, 1968, at the hour of 8 :00 o 'clock P.M. of said day.
