• Jessica Garcia -Kohl, with the Housing Trust of Santa Clara County stated that <br />the Turkey Trot is so much more than a fundraiser on Thanksgiving morning. The <br />Housing Trust has been able to create 25 new homes for, seniors and provided <br />hundreds of children with healthcare as a result of the race and thousands more <br />have received healthy meals from the food bank. <br />B. Community Relations Committee Annual Report, by Kathy Evans and Roger <br />Burnell <br />COUNCIL INITATED ITEM 10.A was heard in combination with Item 13 <br />A. Consideration of Request from the Standing Community Relations Committee for <br />Review and Update of the Committee's Charter (Council Member Radford) <br />Past Co -Chairs Kathy Evans and Roger Burnell provided the Community <br />Relations Committee Annual Report and presented Charter revisions. <br />C. Open Space Committee Re -Appointment, Karen Lemes <br />Counsel discussed the process for filling committee vacancies. <br />• DIRECTION: Council directed staff to advertise all expired vacant committee <br />appointments six months in advance to give individuals the opportunity to apply to <br />the standing committees. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Council Member Mordo, <br />seconded by Council Member Waldeck and passed unanimously to Approve <br />Appointing Karen Lemes to the Open Space Committee. <br />D. History Committee Re -Appointment, Mary Ann Malcolm <br />Council Member Mordo, Council Liaison to the History Committee, reported that <br />there are now three members on the History Committee. He suggested agendizing <br />this committee for future discussion. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Council Member Radford, <br />seconded by Council Member Mordo and passed unanimously to Approve <br />Appointing Mary Ann Malcolm to the History Committee. <br />E. Finance & Investment Committee Re -Appointment, Roddy loss, <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Council Member Mordo, <br />seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Larsen and passed unanimously to Approve <br />• Appointing Roddy Sloss to the Finance & Investment Committee. <br />2.
