Home My WebLink About95-16 RESOLUTION 95-16 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS DECLARING THE RESULT OF THE CANVASS OF RETURNS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 2016 FOR THE ELECTION OF THREE MEMBERS TO THE CITY COUNCIL WHEREAS, on May 19,2016, the City Council of the Towri of Los Altos Hills duly passed and adopted Resolution 19-16 calling for the holding of a General Municipal Election in the Town of Los Altos Hills on November 8, 2016; and WHEREAS, the Town of Los Altos Hills conducted a general municipal election on November 8, 2016, to elect three members to the City Council; and WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters, has conducted the official canvass of the returns of said election in accordance with the appropriate provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1. The City Clerk of the Town of Los Altos Hills is hereby instructed to enter this resolution into the minutes of this Council as a statement of the result of this election. 2. The total number of ballots cast in the Town at the General Municipal Election of November 8, 2016 was 5,204 and a full and correct copy of the statement of results of said election for Council seats as canvassed and certified by the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters is attached hereto as Attachment 1 and incorporated herein by reference. 3. That at said election, Courtenay C. Corrigan, Michelle Wu and Roger Spreen received the highest number of votes for which each was a candidate and these persons were thereby each elected to the office of Councilmember for a full four(4)-year term. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to sign and deliver to Courtenay C. Corrigan, Michelle Wu and Roger Spreen a Certificate of Election and to administer to them the Oath of Office prescribed in the Constitution of the State of California.
