A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
LOS ALTOS HILLS AUTHORIZING THE DECEMBER 2017
HOLIDAY CLOSURE OF TOWN OPERATIONS
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Altos Hills elects to implement a holiday closure for the period
December 20, 2017 through January 1, 2018, which includes three Town-observed holidays; and
WHEREAS, Town employees will participate in a two-day mandatory Emergency Preparedness
Training; and
WHEREAS, Town employees will have the opportunity to participate in office cleanup to archive
paper and electronic files, including email; and
WHEREAS, Town employees may choose to take paid or unpaid leave during the entire or part of
the office closure; and
WHEREAS, Emergency and urgent Code Enforcement services will remain available upon request
through Santa Clara County Communications Dispatch; and
WHEREAS,the Public Works Maintenance personnel will remain"on call"during the closure period
to respond to any weather-related incidents or other emergencies; and
WHEREAS, the Building inspection services will remain available upon appointment request; and
WHEREAS, the Town Management may schedule employees to work due to other unforeseen
operational demands;
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills hereby resolves to authorize
the holiday closure of Town Hall from December 20, 2017 through January 2, 2018.
The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of Los
Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on the 21th day of September, 2017 by the following vote:
AYES: Waldeck, Radford, Corrigan, Spreen, Wu
