A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO AMEND
THE CONTRACT AGREEMENT FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF A PERMIT
MANAGEMENT AND TRACKING SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the budget for a new permit management and tracking
software in 2016; and
WHEREAS, TRAKiT was determined to best meet the needs of the Town for provision of better
service to Town residents, provision of more reliable data for use by staff and volunteer
committees, and it will allow key data and information to be attached to individual parcels; and
WHEREAS, On October 20, 2016 the City Council approved funding for the permit system
purchase and licensing, SQL server, data conversion and user training; and
WHEREAS, in the process of working with the project manager and consultant on the
implementation of the new permit system, it was determined that additional user licenses are
needed and it is beneficial to add eTRAKiT modules to allow mobile inspections and access to the
permit software from the field; and
WHEREAS,a budget amendment is needed since the additional modules were originally intended
to be included in the next budget cycle and instead will be purchased this fiscal year in order to be
included in the installation and implementation of the permit system that will Go Live in Spring
2018.
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills
does hereby resolve to approve increasing the 2017-18 capital budget by$47,140.
FURTHER RESOLVED,that the City Managerhereby is authorized to amend the contract with
Superion in an amount not to exceed $47,140.
The above and foregoing Resolution passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of Los
Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on the 21st day of September, 2017 by the following vote:
