Los Altos Hills, Ca 94022 RE: Patel Property at 11637 Dawson Drive, Los Altos Hills, Ca. Dear Ms. Avila, I represent Thomas Yang and Nancy Yang the owners of the property at 11639 Dawson Drive, Los Altos Hills, Ca., which is adjacent to the project at 11637 Dawson Drive, Los Altos Hills, CA (Patel property). My client has concerns and objections to the development as shown in the plans available at the town. 1.) The proposed plan does not show the location of my client's easement on the land to be developed. The concern here is that development seems to be proposed in an area that is subject to the easement (see attached copy of the recorded easement). In particular, this involves my client's current sewer line easement on the property to be developed and access thereto. The location or all existing and proposed sewer lines and connections should be clearly located on a plan that shows the easement area. 2.) In reviewing the proposed plan we also noted that the "area of disturbance" as drawn on the plan seems to include land on my client's property. This is inappropriate and needs to be corrected. 3.) The plans show the removal of a heritage oak tree that is irreplaceable. The development should both protect and preserve this tree. 4.) As a condition for development the developer should be required to protect all existing trees and the existing masonry wall from damage or destruction during construction. Due to prior commitments I am not sure that either my clients can attend the hearing on March 5, 2015. However, we would appreciate a response to each of the above concerns and objections.
