HomeMy WebLinkAbout29-19RESOLUTION 29-19 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS ACCEPTING A PORTION OF LA LOMA DRIVE FROM PROSPECT AVENUE TO SUMMIT WOOD ROAD AND LA LOMA COURT AS PUBLIC ROADS WHEREAS, a portion of La Loma Drive from Prospect Avenue to Summit Wood Road and La Loma Court were offered for dedication to public use pursuant to Tract Map No. 1257; WHEREAS, the original owners of the property abutting the designated portion of La Loma Drive starting from Prospect Avenue to Summit Wood Road and La Loma Court. dedicated to public use that, designated portion of La Loma Drive to the Town of Los Altos Hills ("Town") as public roads; WHEREAS, the City,Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills at their meeting of June 1, 1959 accepted that designated portion of La Loma Drive and La Loma Court as public roads; and WHEREAS, in September 2018, that designated portion of La Loma Drive and La Loma Court were repaved as part of the 2018 Pavement Rehabilitation and Drainage Improvement Project; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1806 of the California Streets and Highway Code, "no public or private street or road shall become a city street or road until the governing body, by resolution, has caused the street or road to be accepted into the city street system"; WHEREAS, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills, at their meeting of June 20, 2019 authorized formal acceptance of the designated. portion of La Loma Drive and La Loma Court to be accepted by the Town resolution; and WHEREAS, it is now appropriate for the Town of Los Altos Hills to accept the street for public use of La Loma Drive and La Lorna Court right of ways under Streets and Highways Code Section 1806. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does RESOLVE as follows: SECTION 1. The Town of Los Altos Hills does hereby accept the designated portion of La Loma Drive from Prospect Avenue to Summit Wood Road and La Loma Court into the Town Pavement Management Program. An exhibit showing the portion of La Loma Drive and La Loma Court being accepted as public roads is attached hereto as Exhibit A. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause a certified resolution to be filed in the Office of the City Clerk. Resolution 29-19 Page 1 SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall cause this resolution, once certified, to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Santa Clara County, California.
