ROLL CALL at 6:05 pm, COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 26379 Fremont Road Present: Chris Vargas (CV), Chairman (left at 7:25 pm), Ginger Summit (GS), Vice Chairman (left early), Richard Cassam (DC), (Acting Chair after 7:25 pm), Nancy Ewald (NE), Fred Fallah (FF), Jorge Fernandes (JF) (left at 8:20 pm), Nancy Ginzton (NG), Secretary, Mike Kamangar (MK), DuBose Montgomery (DM) Absent: Charlene Geers (CG), Bob Stutz (BS) Also present: Ad hoc committee members: Dot Schreiner, Carol Gottlieb 2. NEXT PATHWAY INSPECTION WALK ON SATURDAY March 24, 2004 at 8:30am 3. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR: None. 4. PATHWAY MAP:. Marking of desired routes: circles with arrows indicating needed connections (FF); arrows on/toward particular spots (NG); mark preferable path, and use circles (NE); circle or ‘swath’ (Carol G.) Map format/availability for residents as part of public hearing: mail maps to all residents (DM); to those affected (MK); have maps available on-line and at Town Hall; notify all residents of options and let them choose (NE). Decision: notify all residents that map will be sent, and then send it. Action: at the Thursday Town Council meeting, CV will present the request for funds to cover the mailing and request a Study Session with Council before Public Hearings (NE, FF). PATHWAY MASTER PLAN UPDATE RECOMMENDATIONS: Continue with the Master Pathway Plan update by quadrants. 2nd reviews: A1(CV), C1 (NE); C2 (GS not present) 1st reviews: A2, A3, B1 - not done. Quadrant A1 completed: Motion: to approve color recommendations of the following sections as marked on the working map. Unanimous approval. A1.1 retain, A1.2 retain as noted, A1.3 retain, until have another connector to Saddle Mtn. (preferred route between 14414 and 14321), A1.4 retain, A1.5 remove, A1.6 remove, (A1.7 remove from this list, the path exists), A1.8 remove, A1.10 retain, A1.12, 13, 14 retain (creating a loop) Motion: to retain A1.9. Motion approved (4 - 3.) (Carol G. noted that this path had existed when the houses were built) Motion: to remove A1.11. Motion approved (4 - 3). Quadrant A1 unresolved: Z-1 retain, (leave to residents), Z-2 Quadrant C1 completed: C1.1 retain, C1.2 retain, C1.4 (was Z-4) lines added to MPP (between 25660/25630 and 14220/14220 to Wild Plum), Z-5 remove (short distance to Fremont), Z-6 retain, a neighborhood decision (steep hill, no good route found) Quadrant C1 unresolved: C1.3, Z-7 Quadrant C2 completed: C2.1, 2, 3, 4, 8 retain, C2.5 remove (C2.5 duplicates C2.6), C2.6 retain, continue yellow all the way from Burke Lane to Burke Rd (unanimous agreement for C2.5 and C2.6), C2.10 remove, C2.11 remove, C2.13 remove Quadrant C2 to follow: C2.12 path route not decided at time of permitting, need to follow through on path location; still under construction. Action: See Jeannie about putting a flag on the building permit, because the pathway issue is unresolved. Quadrant C2 unresolved: C2.7 wait to decide; want to keep yellow arrow at the end of Fremont Rd. to lead to Redwood Grove, question of routes and access (can we get it on water land? (NE), needs further study (DC) C2.9 need to look at it Z-8 not done MEETING ADJOURNED AT 8:20 pm
