MEETING MINUTES
JUNE 7, 2012 Members Present: Chair Kathy Evans, Rebecca Hickman, Patty Radlo, Kit Gordon, Courtenay Corrigan, Community Services Coordinator Sarah Gualtieri, Councilmember Jean Mordo. Call to Order: 9:07 a.m. Approval of Minutes May meeting minutes will be brought forward to August Special Meeting for approval. No quorum as two members had to leave. 4th of July Parade Courtenay Corrigan gave the PRC an update on the 4th of July Parade. - signage regarding street closure will be present one week before parade - CERT will help with the road closure on day of parade - Milk Pail has donated watermelons at 50% off - 6 foot tables will be set up for the watermelons, soda and lemonade - little trinkets will be passed out to the children at the end of the parade; Sarah Gualtieri will check to see what Town still has from previous events - Courtenay suggested allocating $1-200 each year Facilities Updates Sarah Gualtieri reported that she is still researching a composting toilet for Westwind Community Barn and she anticipates it could not be installed before summer 2013. Sarah also reported that there were very few maintenance issues at Purissima Parks after the Town Picnic. The Ordinance and Town Riding Ring Policy will go before the Town Council this month. The subcommittee for the Activity Guide met on June 7, 2012. The next Guide will feature adult and senior programming, as well as the photography class at Foothill College. New senior offerings include a Pilates Bone Building class, a free CHP Older Driver Traffic Safety Seminar, and a Senior Trivia night put on jointly with Los Altos Parks and Rec. Upcoming Events Updated signs are needed for this year’s Hoedown to be held on September 9, 2012. Volunteers are also needed, Kathy Evans will let Patty Radlo know how many are needed and what shifts. The annual Halloween event will be held at Fremont Hills Country Club again. Next meeting, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Parks and Recreation Building.
