Westwind Barn Lighting
Kathy Evans gave the PRC a recap of the December 6, 2009 Barn Lighting event.
Overall the event went very well – the event was well attended, there was plenty of food
for the attendees, and the petting zoo was a big success. Eric Christensen stated that next
year he would consider changing the times for the various groups entertaining and for the
equestrian events.
Spring/Summer Activities Guide
Kathy Evans reported that the Los Altos Hills Horsemen’s Association wanted to be
brought more under the control of the Parks and Recreation Committee. They would like
to keep the relationship with the PRC informal however. Eric Christensen stated that
LAHHA already had a formal agreement with Town. Kathy reported that LAHHA
would also like a description and calendar of their events in the PRC Activities Guide.
Currently LAHHA does not have a calendar of their activities on the LAHHA website.
Eric stated that the PRC would have to have approval from the Town Council for
additional funding if the Committee wanted to add pages to the Activities Guide to
accommodate the LAHHA request.
Co-Chair Julia Zarcone will agendize how to move forward with this issue in the next
Activity Guide, for the January 25, 2010 PRC meeting. She stated that the PRC needs to
discuss and decide priorities for programming, events listings, and reference information
for future Activities Guides.
The Spring/Summer Activities Guide will be back from Alex by the end of December.
Eric Christensen will send a draft to all PRC members for comment.
New Business
Julia Zarcone informed the PRC that the change in PRC meeting time from morning to
late afternoon/evening was due to be discussed at the next PRC meeting in January.
Next PRC meeting is scheduled for 6:00 pm on January 25, 2010 at the Parks and
Recreation Building.
Meeting adjourned at 6:00 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Patty Radlo, secretary
