The location of the Sport Court in center field was identified as the prohibitive factor in expanding the use of the field for soccer. Hen Gikis questioned whether the Sport Court could be either repositioned, removed entirely, or moved to a different location. It was discussed moving the Sport Court to the Corp Yard, but the location was considered too remote, with another factor being the elimination of much .needed parking. Fle stated that he thought the only logical place for the Sport Court was in center field o field #2. Paul Kelleher stated that even with changing or moving the Sport Court, there would still not be room to place either a 65" x 100" or adult size soccer field on Field 42. Val Metcalfe summarized for the Czmmittee the status of all discussions for Little Field #2. The points are as follow: i, The LAII Council states that at this point no extra monies are to be spent on the renovation ofthe Little League Fields other than what has been allocated previously. 2, With the current allocation of $1.2 million, the renovation should proceed as initially planned. However, the feasibility of moving the Sport Court should be checked with Dillingham and. Associates. 3. Scheduling of all activities taking place on the Little League Fields will remain the responsibility of Eric Chnistenserc. Little League has and will continue to provide Eric with up-to-date information on their field usage creeds. 4. The PRC and the Town should be mindful of not doing something to Field 42 that cannot be redone later. z - d 6STE-St,6-059 XU. NFJWA31I-1 9S:ET 800 Ea unf, The Committee recommended that Eric Christensen do "due diligence" with Dillingham and Associates as to the feasibility of relocating the Sport Court, and to also check on what size soccer field could be put in on Field #2.
