Minutes of October 20 and Nov. 17 were approved as
corrected.
NEW BUSINESS; Rae Collins proposed a program of
approximately 6 hikes called apricots to mountain
tops, to acquaint residents of the beauty of our
surroundings. It will be led by a volunteer docent.
She would like to work with PARKS & RECREATION to
coordinate these educational programs. She would also
like to incorporate a fitness component. JIMMY said
he will meet with Ms. Collins later in the week to
discuss the details. All members thought the program
ideas were wonderful.
The new person hired for Strategic Planning will begin
working closely with Jimmy to implement planning
meetings for the end of February.
SUMMER CAAMPS are being scheduled and will be firm by
February for inclusion in the Activity Guide which is
due out in March.
BULLIS FIELDS; Status on plans is unclear. It was
decided to agendize it for the Town Council meeting on
Feb. 5 so that it can be discussed.
OLD USINESS; Renovation of bathrooms on the Purissima
site was discussed. Since there has been a reasonable
estimate for the work we decided to have the work done
ASAP.
Jane Kawasaki reported on an idea for helping AT RISK
children in the area by having a riding program some
time in the future. Jane will pursue this with
Westwind Barn.
Meeting adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
Next meeting will be Feb. 23 at 9:30 a.m.in the
Council Chambers.
