D. MacMillan attended the 4/27/09 LASD meeting and reported that M.
Goines wants to “re-open the idea of a full-sized soccer field at Gardner
Bullis.” (Currently the Town is considering subsidizing refurbishing a
practice field at Foothill College.) MacMillan also reported that PAUSD
voted to adopt the Everyday Math curriculum. MacMillan proposed that the
committee investigate a way, via the state, to reclaim the site currently
occupied by Pinewood School.
AM Gallagher updated the committee on her response to Mr. Miller’s
interest in anti-bullying programs at Gardner Bullis. She also reported on the
all-committees meeting convened by Mayor Mordo, where she provided a
report on the Ed Committee’s activities this year to all other town committee
chairs. (see attached). This will be provided to Mayor Mordo for the State
of the Cities report in June.
