Special Meeting
April 18, 2012
1. Meeting was called to order at 8:35M by Chairman Ramberg. Present were committee
members Jennifer Carlstrom, Bart Carey, Duncan MacMillan and Eric Ramberg.
2. Los Hills Town Council member John Radford was present as the council liaison with the
committee.
3. The February 7, 2012 meeting minutes were not available for review.
4. Eric Ramberg shared a brief update on the current status of the proposed LASD facilities bond.
5. Duncan MacMillan shared a brief update on the annual LAH public school enrollment data
collection. He shared a note from city clerk Deborah Padovan that she had been contacted by
the BCS Superintendent/Principal whom informed her that BCS would no longer be sharing their
LAH enrollment data in the future. Discussion ensued on how to proceed with the LAH public
enrollment data without BCS’ participation. It was determined that an estimate based on the
last submitted data by BCS would be used going forward, with a note explaining that they were
no longer sharing the information and how the estimate was arrived at.
6. Duncan MacMillan shared an update on the Pinewood/Fremont Hills location lease renewal.
7. Eric Ramberg asked for suggestions for any New Education Committee Members. Discussion
ensued and it was determined that John Radford would send a letter to both the administration
and PTAs at all publics schools serving LAH students inviting participation. Jennifer Carlstrom
committed to helping John and the city clerk in collecting school/PTA contact information.
8. Eric Ramberg shared a proposed meeting time/date to be published on the LAH website.
Discussion ensued and it was determined to hold meetings every other month of the first
Wednesday at 7:30pm, beginning with February.
9. With no old business, the meeting was adjourned.
