2. Approval of August minutes was moved by Rick Ellinger, seconded by Al Whaley
3. Dru Anderson reported that a new roof for the EOC had been approved by the town
council and would be installed ASAP.
4. Scott Overstreet reported that the EOC had been rewired with new antenna cables. A
patch panel for the antennas on the tree / tower and those on the roof is in the back
closet. Multiple cables then run to all operating positions. All cables have been labeled
and tested. After the meeting Scott gave a tour of the new equipment. All agreed that this
is a major improvement in the operating environment.
5. Dru Anderson reported that a binder listing all ECC equipment and who has possession is
now in the Equipment closet.
6. Al Whaley gave a presentation on MAC, mutual aid communicators (previously MAR,
mutual aid responders). Details of this one hour talk are on the LAHECC web site
restricted section. There will be a drill for MAC’s on 10/21/06.
7. Next month Scott Overstreet will give a talk on the internals of the Icon HT-32 which is
the LAH issued portable transceiver.
8. Rick Ellinger noted that the three C’s of field operation. Comfort (clothing and
nourishment), Confidence (proper training), and Communications (appropriate
equipment).
9. Scott Overstreet did the SPECS check in for the group.
