1) Welcome to new Council Liaison, Jean Mordo, KI6AXE. Commemorative cookies nd soft
drinks furnished by the chair.
2) Ray Egan reported that Verizon has the antenna for Westwind Barn; but he is not sure if
it is on the tower there yet.
3) Dru Anderson reminded everyone that the SPECS annual meeting was at a new location
at 8:30 AM Saturday, January 20th.
4) A written report from Jim Abraham on the status of the repeater at the water tank was
that the conduit was in, but the pad and tower were still to be done.
5) Rick Ellinger talked about the county drill on the afternoon of January 20th. The
concentration will be on packet. We are invited to a joint session will Los Altos where they
will have a hands-on workshop. Al Whaley is e-mailing members new packet support
software. The software allows the user to input data for two forms and prepares the data
for packet transmission. The forms supported are 1) City Scan Flash Report and 2)
Logistics Request.
6) Al Whaley volunteered to make the roster available in EXCEL format as well as PDF.
7) Scott Overstreet presented the technical progrqm, which was a detailed talk on the
internals and functions of the Icom W-32 transceiver which we use.
8) Adjourned at 8:30, moved by Scott Overstreet, seconded by Ray Egan.
