Moved Jim Abraham Second Bob Anderson 3) Rick Ellinger and Miles Seiver attended the latest county training session. Rick passed out and discussed copies of the new forms. The county plan is to convert totally to packet over the next year and half to two years. He then passed out copies of the new Santa Clara County Emergency Operations Plan and strongly recommended that all members read and understand the plan. He then discussed the difference between types 3 and type 5 incidents. 4) Five members of the committee participated in the county drill (.Ray Egan, Miles Seiver, Al Whaley, Charlie Ellinger, Rick Ellinger). Since drill incidents are fictitious to avoid onlookers thinking there is a real emergency, the incident was an attack by a giant gopher which required both animal control and the National Guard. 5) Al Whaley gave the county report. At the recent county drill a new untrained crew was substituted for the usual group at county. This gave additional people training in county operations with some loss of efficiency in operations. The next northern California drill will be called Silver Sentinel. 6} Dru Anderson reported on the status of CERTS training. Miles Seiver is attending the current class and a plan is being developed for quarterly refresher training for current CERTS members. 6) The next ECC meeting will be on Tuesday, May 20th at the Foothill Collage Fire Station for a meeting with the Fire Battalion Chief 7) Dru Anderson discussed the new emergency equipment trailer located at the fire station. Amoung other supplies the trailer will contain GMRS radios for used by volunteers. Many aspects of the trailer and it use are still in the planning stage and the following members of the committee volunteered to assist general planning (Dru Anderson,. Bob Anderson, and "Smitty" Smithwick), radio equipment (Andrew Kirk, Scott Overstreet, Sam Wood). 9) Miles Seiver and Scott Overstreet did the 8:00 PM SPECS net check in for those attending the meeting. 10) The new ECC manual was discussed. The plan is approximately 50 pages plus 20 pages of sample forms. Dru Anderson, Al Whaley, Gary Waldeck, and Lynn McLeod are working on the manual. 7) Meeting adjourned at 7:55 PM Moved Bob Anderson Second Maynard Stevenson Respectfully submitted, Edwin Jones LAHECC Secretary
