Chairman Ed Jones called the meeting to order at 7 pm.
Dave Stewart introduced himself as a visiting CERT and new ham.
Ray Egan moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, Scott Overstreet
seconded and the motion passed.
Al Whaley reported on county matters, including a minor change to the Go Kit.
Evaluations of mutual aid skills were conducted at two recent events and several hams
passed.
Ed Jones reported that Steve Garcia requests approval by this committee of the revised
lease. Jerry Tomanek moved to approve it, Gary Waldeck seconded, the motion passed.
Ed Jones reported that the town clerk, Karen Jost, requested that we review the
attendance record of our committee members. Bob Smithwick is unable to attend
meetings and should be dropped from membership. Dave Gilmore, Lynn McCloud, Rick
Ellinger, Charlie Ellinger, Bob Hall and Dave Pratt should be changed to Associate
status. Jerry Tomanek moved to approve these changes, Bob Anderson seconded, the
motion passed.
Ray Egan was nominated to be the chair of this committee for the next year. Jim
Abraham moved to elect him by acclamation, Gary Waldeck seconded, motion passed.
Dru Anderson moved to reelect Miles Siever as secretary, Jerry Tomanek seconded,
motion passed.
Under old business, Jim Abraham noted that the antenna at Westwind Barn was damaged
by T-Mobile but was repaired by Verizon at no cost to us.
Under new business, Dru Anderson announced a meeting to continue discussion of the
recent CERT-Ham joint exercise and move forward on the list of action items. She has
proposed quarterly drills to Steve Garcia and Mike Sanders and this was well received by
them.
Ray Egan conducted the rest of the meeting as the new chair. He noted the need for
committees on documentation and training. Jim Abraham noted the need to secure the
radio room at Heritage House. Dru Anderson volunteered to be liason to the town CERT
group and Al Whaley to be liason to the county. Other suggested positions that need
filling are training officer, an equipment group, an operations group and a tech topics
group.
Bob Anderson moved to adjourn, Andy Kirk seconded, motion passed
