Bob Anderson made a motion to approve the January, February, March, and April (2010) ECC minutes. Bob Hall seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Ray Egan gave an update regarding the packet radio link between the EOC and the ARC for the May 26, 2010 drill. Further configuration of the EOC TNC will take place with the help of Michael Fox on May 19, 2010. Chairman Ed Jones gave an overview of the upcoming May 26, 2010 Los Altos Hills emergency preparedness drill. One ECC member will be assigned to each CERT trailer and will use voice communication. Two ECC members will be assigned to the EOC. The water district will also be involved. Letters containing further drill directions will be sent to all participants before the event. Chairman Jones suggested that ECC members become familiar with the CERT radios to be used at the event. Duncan MacMillan reported that the 2010 LAH Pathways Run could have used better signage. Bob Anderson felt that the ECC should define “associate member” as any ECC member who has not attended a meeting for an entire year. Gary Waldeck supported this motion. Jim Abraham suggested that the ECC should instead follow Town committee guidelines regarding the number of consecutive meetings that an individual can miss before he or she becomes an associate member. Sam Wood said that we must also ensure that town assets are tracked. Bob Anderson made the motion that the ECC abide by council rules in regards to membership (three consecutive meetings missed and the member becomes an associate member). Gary Waldeck seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Sam Wood reminded the ECC that the LAH Town Picnic is coming up and that the committee should have a presence there. Chairman Jones agreed to be in charge of setting up for the event. He will send out an email asking for other volunteers. At 8:14 pm Bob Anderson moved to adjourn the meeting, Sam Wood seconded, and the motion passed. Respectfully submitted, Miles Seiver LAHECC Secretary
