The members introduced themselves. Duncan MacMillan volunteered to fill in as secretary in Miles’ absence during the summer. Scott Overstreet indicated that the tech talk would be deferred since Andy Kirk was not able to attend. Bob Anderson moved to approve the draft May 2011 ECC minutes as amended. The motion passed unanimously. Sally Wood indicated that she was exploring the ECC as a possible volunteer activity. Scott said that donations to the SPECS flea market were aided by equipment from the estate of K6VT, including equipment from Pan Am flying boat service to the present day. He provided a show-tell on the nameplate from a MacKay Radio & Telegraph Co (marine) generator. 2 EC Edwin Jones had no news from the county but indicated that he would take SPECS network control duties for the month of July. No report from council liaison Gary Waldeck since he is in Italy at the moment. Sam Wood said he is still finalizing the list of frequencies for the LAH ECC handhelds. He asked for input regarding certain monitor channels. PG&E will be added. Rich Ellinger was reported to have a list of about 100 frequencies. Dave Stewart indicated that RadioRreference.com has a number of frequencies of interest and will provide more info to Sam and Scott on that source. Sam indicated that his list will group frequencies by type with spaces between groups. … Sam was asked to provide a list of what he has so far in an xls spreadsheet. The nominating committee, Dru Anderson and Jim Abraham, will provide a list of candidates at the July meeting. Jim will act as chair the July meeting in Ray’s absence. Chair Ray Egan solicited net control volunteers. It was the consensus of the group that net control duty for the Monday night (local) net shall be assigned on a rotating basis. Dru reported that there will be a CERT search and rescue session tomorrow night, Wednesday, June 22 in chambers from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Ray indicated that 8 volunteers were requested by Steve Garcia for the July 4 parade. Please contact Steve directly. Ray reported that a review of the AT&T interference report for their three (3) new LTE antennas on the heritage house tree were lacking any documentation concerning ECC antennas, nor any reference at all to ECC requirements and frequencies. Scott moved that the ECC support the request to document ECC antenna placements and frequencies on AT&T drawings and that the be included in the AT&T RF study over concern for intermod products being produced in the 144 – 148, 222 – 225 and 440 - 450 MHz bands, before the planning commission approves any work. The motion was duly seconded and passed unanimously. At 8:20 pm Bob Anderson moved to adjourn the meeting, which was duly seconded and passed unanimously.
