KC6ZWG.

Duncan reported that the investigation into the missing Town radio is still in progress, awaiting a
meeting with the sheriff by Deborah Padovan, city clerk..

5. Comments by Council Liaison – Councilperson Gary Waldeck congratulated the ECC on its good
job tabling at the Town Picnic. Waldeck also discussed California senate bill AB 629 which would
increase funding to LAH and will send an email concerning it to all hands.
6. Old business –
a. ECC page updates on LAH website – Duncan reported that Maynard Stevenson W7MVT
has asked to change his ECC membership status to associate member but would like to
stay on the local net control rotation.
b. Out Town newsletter article (now June) – Duncan shared the ECC article which was
published in the June edition of Our Town.
c. Pathways Run and Town Picnic feedback – Both of these events were successful.
Attached are the ICS211B check-in sheets from the events. Feedback on the Pathway
Run was discussed in general and action items for next year will be distributed
separately.
d. Back-up EOC (preliminary equip list) – Jim asked Gary if there had been any budgetary
changes for the back-up EOC. Gary responded that there had not. Marsha Hovey
KG6CYV reported that a new emergency preparedness grant is arriving soon, at about
the same $6k level as last year.
e. 3.5 GHz radio application 5/25/13 clock – Ray reported that some line-of-sight tests had
been performed. There may be some issues communicating between the ARC and Black
Mountain. Jim suggested that a Ubiquiti radio on the roof of a Foothill College
administration of new engineering buildings might be able to bridge service between
Black Mountain and the ARK. Duncan will contact the College to gain access to those
locations and he and Jim will visit to check line-of-sight issues to Black Mountain and the
ARK.
