1.Roll Call: At 1903 hours, Dru KG6LAD called the meeting to order. Ben KK6HH
took a roll call: Attendance (13) 8 members, 3 associates, and 2 CERT/Guests.
2.Minutes approved: Scott N6NXI moved to approve the October minutes; Ed
W7WPO seconded, and the minutes was approved unanimously.
3.Public comments from the floor:
Larry KE6AGJ would like to use text message to alert those Recon team
members who had signed up for a Recon net. After discussion, Marsha
KG6CYD agreed to look into letting Larry using Nixle to do the messaging.
Larry not only intended to use it to get a confirmation from the sign-up
members, but he would also expand the texting to non-ham CERT members.
4.ECC Activities and related:
a.Report from Council Member Gary K6AIR, Liaison, absent; deferred.
b.Scott N6NXI reported that work on HF antenna installation was progressing
well; he did not see any foreseeable difficulty.

c.Neil K2LL, EC:
i.Neil reported that the Oct 27, 2018 ARES/RACES drill went well,
with ~150 attending from 12 cities/towns. He asked for input
whether there should be at least two drills for the town for the new
year in addition to the annual May LAH Pathway run and July 4
parade.
ii.Neil K2LL will draft a plan for the proposed 2019 drills and will
present at the ECC January 2019 meeting.
d.Neil K2LL, Mauri KM6LXC, and Terry KM6LTQ led a discussion on their
presentation of exploring “ECC Training Tracks” and asked for input. The
consensus was to finalize guidelines at the January meeting. The
presentation will be distributed for ECC membership review and input.
e.AREDN project status is deferred until David Gilmour WQ1K is available.
f.Dru indicated that co-chair Eduardo will be the lead for this year’s ECC
Annual Ham Bake. He is putting together a guest list and request for
volunteers as part of the special Dec. 4 event planning. Dru will assist with
the invitation; several people volunteered to bring additional dishes.
5.Tech Talk:
◦Bill K6GH was not able to attend but sent his detailed list of Ham operators in
LAH and LAHFD. With these results, Mauri KM6LXC volunteered to develop
a plan for recruitment for ECC/Recon teams.
